Leake Street Arches

£0–£10activityWaterloo, London

The underground graffiti tunnel that Banksy put on the map, free, ever-changing, and genuinely atmospheric.

£0–£10 per person

Leake Street is London's only legal graffiti tunnel, and it's been continuously painted and repainted since Banksy's original Cans Festival in 2008. The walls are never the same twice, which means every visit is a different exhibition.

It runs under Waterloo station and costs nothing to walk through. Bring a camera, go late afternoon for the light, and look out for fresh work from some of the city's best street artists.
