Drygate sits in a Victorian tenement block beside the necropolis and Glasgow Cathedral, which gives it a setting that nobody else in Scottish craft brewing can claim. The brewery is visible from the bar, tanks, pipes, the whole process, and the beer is good across the board, with the rotating seasonal taps worth checking.
The food is better than brewery taprooms usually manage. Burgers, pizzas, solid bar snacks, enough to make an evening of it. The rooftop terrace, open in better weather, looks directly at the cathedral and the necropolis. Unusual doesn't begin to cover it.
