Verdant Works is a rare thing, an industrial museum that actually feels like the industry. The Victorian mill building is intact, the jute machinery is in place and operational on guided tours, and the story of how jute made and then broke Dundee is told with real depth.
The building interiors are remarkable: raw brickwork, cast iron columns, the smell of the mill floor. Genuinely worth the admission. Pair with the V&A for a complete Dundee cultural day.
