The V&A Dundee is the building that changed Dundee's relationship with itself. Kengo Kuma's angular structure juts over the Tay waterfront like a ship's prow, and the interior delivers: the Scottish Design Galleries are permanent, free and excellent; temporary exhibitions are ambitious.
The building itself is worth experiencing even without a ticket, the entrance spaces, the waterfront view from the upper levels, the structural ambition of it all. Paired with the RSS Discovery alongside, the waterfront is a genuinely rewarding cultural destination.
