Porthcurno Beach

£0–£5outdoorPorthcurno, Cornwall

White sand, turquoise water, and dramatic granite cliffs. Cornwall's most Greek-looking beach.

£0–£5 per person

On a clear day the water here turns the colour of a Sardinian cove. White shell-sand, granite cliffs rising on both sides, and water cold enough to be bracing but clear enough to see the seabed. It genuinely looks like a different country.

Arrive before 10am to guarantee parking. The Minack Theatre sits on the cliff above, combining both in one afternoon is the obvious move.
