While North Shore absorbs most of Llandudno's summer crowds, West Shore faces the other way entirely, across the Conwy estuary, towards Anglesey and the mountains, and stays dramatically quieter. The sunsets here are exceptional: the light drops behind the hills and turns the water amber.
It's a residential beach rather than a resort one, which is exactly the point. Walk down from the town centre in twenty minutes and feel like you've found somewhere nobody else knows about.
