The Great Orme is what makes Llandudno more than just another Victorian seaside town. The limestone headland rises 200 metres above the sea and can be reached by cable car or by the Victorian tramway, both of which are legitimate heritage experiences before you even reach the top.
At the summit, the views span Snowdonia inland and the Irish Sea in every other direction. There are ancient Bronze Age copper mines, wild Kashmiri goats roaming freely, and a peacefulness at the top that the town below can't quite match.
