The Three Chimneys has been serving exceptional food from a converted croft on the shore of Loch Dunvegan since 1985. The setting, small rooms, low ceilings, sea loch outside the window, creates an intimacy that no city restaurant can replicate. The cooking uses Skye and Scottish produce almost exclusively: langoustine, scallops, lamb, Dunvegan crab.
Getting here requires commitment, it's at the end of a single-track road on the western side of the island. That commitment is part of the experience. Book months ahead for dinner, especially weekends. The House Over-By next door provides accommodation if you don't want to drive back.
