Getting to Steall Falls is half the point. The gorge path from the car park is genuinely dramatic, a narrow trail above the river, through birchwood and rock. Then the valley opens and the falls drop 120 metres in a single white column.
There's a three-wire bridge over the river that most people attempt and most people wobble on. It's free, it's spectacular, and Ben Nevis looms over the entire scene.
