Chipping Campden

£0–£20outdoorChipping Campden, Cotswolds

Arguably the finest Cotswold high street, curved, golden-stoned, almost entirely unchanged since 1400.

£0–£20 per person

The medieval wool trade built Chipping Campden and left behind one of England's best-preserved high streets. The church, the Market Hall, the almshouses, and the gabled merchants' houses form a nearly unbroken architectural sequence.

Quieter than Bourton and Burford, more genuinely working-town. The start of the Cotswold Way long-distance path is here, making it a popular walking base.
