William Morris called Bibury the most beautiful village in England. Arlington Row, a terrace of 14th-century weavers' cottages reflected in the River Coln, is the image that sells a million Cotswolds posters. Seeing it in person is still genuinely arresting.
The Coln trout farm beside the mill pond lets you feed the fish. Arrive early or late; midday in summer the village is overwhelmed.
