Four Waterfalls Walk

£5–£8outdoorPontneddfechan, Brecon

Four waterfalls through ancient woodland, the most visually dramatic walk in South Wales.

£5–£8 parking charge

The Four Waterfalls Walk delivers exactly what it promises, four separate waterfalls, each different in character, connected by a circular trail through ancient sessile oak woodland. The most famous is Sgwd yr Eira, where you can walk behind the waterfall curtain and stand in the spray. It went viral for good reason.

The full circuit takes about four hours and involves some scrambling near the waterfalls themselves. Go after rain when the falls are in full force, the scale is genuinely impressive, and wear shoes you don't mind getting wet.
